Your stay at Villa Dar Essa
Rules & safety
To help everyone enjoy Villa Dar Essa, here are a few guidelines for a pleasant stay and careful use of the house and its equipment.
The pool
The pool is private and reserved for guests staying at the villa. There is no lifeguard. It measures approximately 14 × 4 metres, with a depth of 1.50 metres and a shallow ledge.
Children must remain under constant adult supervision, whether or not they can swim, both in and around the pool, including on the shallow ledge. Never leave a young child alone near the water, even for a moment.
The pool surrounds can be slippery when wet. Do not run around the pool or dive from the walls or into shallow areas.
Filtration, treatment and heating are managed by the pool technician. Please do not change any settings or add any products to the water. The technical hatch must remain closed and may only be handled by the pool technician.
When the cover is in use, follow the instructions provided on site for handling it and putting it back in place. Report any unusual issue promptly to Naïma or the concierge.
In the house and garden
Gusts can be strong in Essaouira. Avoid opening several patio doors at once and hold doors to prevent them from slamming.
Guests must not access the upper terrace where the solar panels are installed, as it has no guardrail. Storage areas and rooms marked private are also reserved for the owners.
If there is a problem with any equipment, inform Naïma or the concierge. Do not attempt to work on the technical installations yourself.
Fire safety
The villa has smoke detectors installed on the ceilings. A fire extinguisher and a fire blanket hang on the wall in the utility kitchen.
Please keep this equipment accessible and do not move or disable the smoke detectors.
Quiet, smoking and pets
Please respect the neighbours’ peace and quiet and make no noise after 10 pm.
Pets are not allowed.
Bedrooms and upper floors are non-smoking. Smoking is tolerated on the ground floor; please preferably use outdoor areas and ashtrays.
Guests and visitors
The number of people staying and sleeping at the villa must match the number declared when booking. Any change must be agreed with us in advance.
Please consult us in advance if you would like to invite friends for lunch, dinner or some time together. Visitors must respect the neighbours and house rules and may not stay overnight without prior agreement.
Receiving visitors does not authorise a party or event: any such plans must be discussed with us before booking.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out before 11 am, unless otherwise agreed. For late arrival, please let us know so we can agree on the arrival arrangements.
Identity documents required for check-in formalities will be requested on arrival.
On departure, please return both sets of keys and remote controls, close doors and windows and switch off the lights. Report any damage, faults or unusual issues so we can address them.
Looking after the property
Water is precious: avoid unnecessary use and report leaks. For drinking water and ice cubes, use the dedicated reverse-osmosis tap in the kitchen, following the welcome guide.
Pool towels are for use on the property and must not be taken to the beach.
Booking terms and contacts
Payment, security deposit and cancellation terms are those communicated and accepted at the time of booking, through your chosen platform or directly with us.
A detailed welcome guide and your contacts’ details are provided for your stay. For questions on site, please contact Naïma or the concierge first.
